Cyprus a promising location to invest Investors are becoming increasingly attracted to Cyprus, it has emerged. The reason is in large part that the island boasts some of the cheapest properties in Europe, according to findings from the Global property Guide. In the study of apartment prices in almost 50 European cities, it was discovered that Limassol's average apartment rent came in at just 2,167 per square meter. By contrast, the average rent per square meter is 24,9000 in Monaco. Despite the relative cheapness, rental yields in Limassol were found to compare favorably to those in Monaco, with the Cypriot capital coming in at 4.38 per cent compared to the 2.43 per cent found in Monaco. A new airport and the increasing presence of budget airlines are also helping to drive up growth and rental returns in Cyprus, leading it to catch the eye of many British investors.
