Nicosia, known locally as Lefkosia , situated roughly in the centre of the island, it is the seat of government as well as the main business centre. Nicosia to date, is the only capital city in the world which is still divided, since the fall of the Berlin Wall. The population of Nicosia is around 210,000, and is home to the main university in Cyprus, Cyprus Uni.

Nicosia is a very dynamic and modern city, with many restaurants and shops located in the main center. Football is the major sport in Cyprus, and Nicosia is home of two major teams of the island, AC Omonia and APOEL. Like everything in Cyprus teams are supported with passion and pride.
