Nicosia, known locally as Lefkosia , situated roughly in the centre of the island, it is the seat of government as well as the main business centre. Nicosia to date, is the only capital city in the world which is still divided, since the fall of the Berlin Wall. The population of Nicosia is around 210,000, and is home to the main university in Cyprus, Cyprus Uni.
